About the Lodge
Lion Sands is one of the original private reserves in the Sabi Sand, boasting four kilometres of prime Sand River frontage and a pedigree that stretches back to 1933. The MORE Collection, which owns Lion Sands, combines classic Sabi Sand luxury with innovative experiences — most famously the Chalkley Treehouse, a romantic open-air platform suspended above the Sabi Sand canopy for sleeping under the African stars. Lion Sands also has a unique dual presence in both the Sabi Sand Private Reserve and Kruger National Park itself.
